   3. Someone else in Georgia's room was on a vent.
   4. The vents are in the Tea Room, the Lounge and the Steam Room.
   5. So Georgia is in one of those rooms, and Dorothy is with her.
   6. Their only free square outside rows 5 to 8 is B4, which is only for Eloise.
   7. So these four people take rows 5, 6, 7 and 8.
   8. So, Andrew, Frederick, Dorothy and Georgia fill rows 5 to 8.

3. Step 3

   1. Clyde was on something red, so he is either on D3, B8 or C8.
   2. Row 8 belongs to one of the four people in rows 5 to 8.
   3. So, Clyde is on D3.

4. Step 4

   1. Clyde is blocking column D, which holds the vents of the Tea Room and the Lounge.
   2. So the person on a vent in Georgia's room is on G8, in the Steam Room.
   3. G8 is in row 8, so it is Andrew, Frederick, Dorothy or Georgia.
   4. Andrew and Frederick can't be there, and Georgia needs someone else on it.
   5. So it is Dorothy.
   6. So, Dorothy is on G8.

5. Step 5

   1. Exactly one person was sitting on the yellow stool, and it is on H7.
   2. H7 is in row 7, so it is one of the four people in rows 5 to 8.
   3. Andrew and Frederick can't be there, and Dorothy is on G8.
   4. So it is Georgia.
   5. So, Georgia is on H7.

6. Step 6

   1. Georgia is blocking C7 and E7, and Dorothy is blocking F8.
   2. So, Frederick is on C5.

7. Step 7

   1. Frederick is blocking C5, Clyde is blocking D7, and Dorothy is blocking H8.
   2. So, Andrew is on E6.

8. Step 8

   1. Clyde is blocking B3, Andrew is blocking E4, and Dorothy is blocking G4.
   2. So, Eloise is on F4.

9. Step 9

   1. Beth was not sitting on any stool, and A2 is a blue stool.
   2. That leaves A2 for Vida.
   3. So, Beth is on B1.
